About
Art remains an intangible necessity for the Soul. Art is a means of expression for the Artist, and a means of comfort for the Audience. Without Art, the World would be a blank slate, without thought, joy and just dullness. Evolving from the Viennese Stage Collective "Production Bohemia", these are motivations for the passionate Founders to create EUYOP - we exist to add colour to our world, for our Artists, and for you.
The European Union Youth Opera (EUYOP) is a platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of opera talent across Europe. Founded in Austria, previously under the name "Production Bohemia" created by ambitious young opera talents, EUYOP is inspired to offer young, aspiring singers, musicians, conductors, and stage directors from across the European Union the opportunity to develop their craft in a professional, inclusive, and international environment.
Our Vision
At European Union Youth Opera, we envision a vibrant and united artistic community where the rich tradition of opera is reimagined for modern audiences. We believe in fostering cross-cultural dialogue, innovation, and collaboration to ensure that opera remains a thriving, relevant art form for future generations.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower young artists from diverse backgrounds by providing them with top-tier training, mentorship, and performance opportunities. By uniting young talents from all over Europe and the world, we aim to create a unique, multicultural opera experience that reflects the diversity and unity of the European Union.
Our Goals
- Fostering Artistic Excellence: We provide young artists with access to high-caliber training programs, masterclasses, and collaborative projects to hone their skills in a professional setting.
- Cultural Exchange and Collaboration: Through our multinational platform, we encourage young artists to learn from one another’s cultural and artistic traditions, fostering deeper understanding and innovation in the operatic world.
- Bridging Tradition and Innovation: While honoring the rich legacy of European opera, we strive to push creative boundaries, integrating modern technology and contemporary themes into our productions.
- Sustainability and Inclusivity: We are committed to creating sustainable, inclusive operatic experiences that are accessible to both artists and audiences from all walks of life.
- Promoting European Unity through Art: We see opera as a powerful tool for celebrating the unity and diversity of the European Union, bridging cultural gaps and promoting solidarity through shared artistic experiences.
